Heart of Islam, Muslim Efforts Frederick Align skid view U.S. Citizens

With the hope of correct misconceptions about Islam, the Muslim community established the foundation Federick County Heart of Islam. "The Foundation will provide information about Islam and Muslims, produce educational materials and the educational institution for the citizens of Federick County," Siron said Zidan, chairman of the foundation as quoted by the Gazette last week.
Siron said, she and her husband, Imam Yahya Hendi, a former Imam Imam Frederick County and Georgetown University and the National Naval Medical Center, has long been craving the establishment of a foundation. Hendi added Heart of the Islamic Foundation has a goal to educate the public and counteract the hatred and fear with authentic information. Hendi, who spoke about the mission of the foundation, also reminded the guests that Muslim morality is the same with Christianity, namely to encourage Muslim men and women to continue their education, find happiness and preserve human life and the environment.
He also said the actions of extremists do not represent the religion and Muslims. Islam, added Hendi, is a religion of peace and love, that does not justify such acts of suicide bombing or stoning women. "Seeing the extremist actions, my anger is more than your anger," said Hendi said, asking guests to help him work eliminate these misunderstandings.
Hendi said that Frederick County has traditionally been more open to understanding about Muslims and Islam. "I've lived in eight states and visited 46 of the 50 states. I believe that Frederick County is very pluralistic and imereka (Federick residents) know how to respect diversity," he said.
In a written statement, Mayor Frederick Randy McClement (R) praised the foundation's goals. He hopes the foundation will provide ease of understanding about Islam and Muslims.
While the head of Police Kim Dine said Frederick flattered with good intentions Hendi and his wife to facilitate dialogue between Muslims and American society. "In the last nine years we have become friends."
